Agreed, Ellison is as about a radical as Van Jones. And is a Muslim. For an election that the working class revolted, this hard move to the left will not do anything for the Democrats but to enhance their base, but does little to recapture the votes they lost en masse just a week ago. Your average American will view Ellison as extreme, and will seek an alternative.

Ellison could work. He will unify the base and has some clout as a non establishment guy. He will really be successful if the politics of guilt survives.
