I like working them out here more. Comments don't work as well as brain-storming, IMO.
High Bay Spaces: are precious. N. Engineering needs classrooms then how they did it at the old Macomber, worked really well. It would look something like the lobby of Field House. Put the classrooms on the second floor so they can over-look the work space. Below the classrooms are design spaces, wash-up and tool facilities...
Health Ed: ROTC is too much a part of our culture to "shift out" and at the same time, athletics could use that bay, similar to how BG uses Perry. It could be a great place for non-revenue tournaments of local team, to consolidate them. Up the participation in the wrestling programs, swimming and diving and in-door track.... It might be a revenue generator.
Walk-way instead of over-pass. Seems like a cool idea. Need to be WELL lit and patrolled. Make it wide enough that one of those parking service carts can navigate it, seems like a win-win with lower maintenance. The walk-way though would have a gate-way appeal, if it could be made appealing and low maintenance.
U-Hall I'd LOVE it is they could get rid of those dropped ceilings in the hall-ways. There has to be something nice up there but yeah priority, many of the classrooms are dated, no tech at all. Got to keep some of those old chalkboards though, the ones with several layers that roll up and down. Lots of Agora there. Clean them up and keep the nostalgia that makes you feel smarter when you walk into the hall. Never get rid of wood.
