Monarchs are an 8.5 to 9 point favorite in Boca Raton this weekend. Game is on Campus Insiders at 6:00pm. (Has anyone viewed a CI game this season?)

I hope ODU is looking for a little payback after falling 33-31 on a late FG to FAU in Norfolk last season. It crushed the hopes for a bowl game.

It would be cool if they had our football game on Twitter Saturday. You can watch MTSU vs Murray St tonight according this Campus Insiders tweet. I may check it out just to see the quality of it.

I don't have much hope for our football game being on Twitter though. Heck, they have the game listed as FAU at ODU, lol.
I've watched a couple games on Campus Insiders that they have streamed on Twitter, not bad.
I still think ultimately all tertiary rights games will be on facebook live/periscope-twitter...I like it and its mobile

Campus Insiders has an app on Roku. Much better than having to watch on CUSA.TV.
Campus Insiders website is Chromecast compatible.

Sweet! I was hoping it would be.
Will CUSA TV still have the game?

Nope, Campus Insiders only. Their streams are free, so it really shouldn't be an issue.
So let me get this straight... I have to watch this weekends game on twitter? Or is it a website as well?

Yeah, but this doesn't instill confidence if they don't even know where the game is....

Anytime I can watch an away game for free I'm a happy camper.
I still have nightmares of their defensive line. We are going to have to pound the rock and get them thinking run or utilize quick passes.
Looking at the stats, generally they are fairly even, with ODU being slightly ahead in most categories. As usual, one area where we stand out is in turnover margin, with the Monarchs at +15 and the Owls at -1. They are at home, but other than the impacts of our travel, I am not convinced that they have any significant home field advantage because of their low attendance numbers. I think turnovers will once again be a factor, and I'm seeing a ten to fourteen point win for the Monarchs.

ODU 38 FAU 24.
We really are better than them in every category. We have a better run offense, pass offense, run defense, and pass defense. It appears there defense is pretty weak. We seem to play at a similar pace, yet average 0.6 yards per play more on offense and give up 1.0 yards per play less on defense. Over the course of a game (70) plays, you are talking about a 125+ yard difference (if that plays out).

They have played better the last 2 weeks against some really weak teams, but that concerns me. Confidence goes a long ways. Jones ran for 229 against them last week, but UTEP really doesn't have a passing game to take advantage. Rice had a nice passing game, but couldn't really put a running game together. Marshall and Charlotte moved the ball at will.

I think we should be able to score some points. Should have a big game for Lawry and open up some 1v1 on the outside for big passing plays. It's time we figure out how to get the ball to Pascal on the outside.
ODU 41 FAU 17
Owe them one. I still remember their DB waving his arms for incomplete as he ran along our sideline on play that sealed the loss. I want to throat punch those sorry turds. I was really hoping for several weeks they'd only be at 6 losses when we played so we could knock them out of bowl eligibility. Sorry that can't happen. I want to never put on the brakes and beat them 55-13.

Beyond the fact they don't have to travel with all that entails, I would agree they don't get much advantage on their home-field because their turnout, in general, is awful. However it is their last home game, which means the Senior Salute and that does mean a lot to the Seniors. Their parents/families will be there and all Seniors want to go out a winner in their last home game. I do hope our team remembers what they did to our Seniors last year and go for some payback.
Good place for us to get some practice in for the Boca Raton Bowl.
I'll be making the trip down to Boca for the game. Then a little R&R in Fort Lauderdale.
