Why will Monarch Media video not play on iPhones? It's unbelievably frustrating!
My guess is because of flash player that's not supported by iOS
Don't get how they can lose such a large segment of their fan base by not adapting formats.
To be fair, government is always the slowest to adapt.
The Android App hasn't worked for me since late summer either, but I go with CUSA TV now which is much better.
I was able to use cusa tv on my kindle this past weekend and it worked pretty well. I haven't tried it on an iphone though.
While I'd love to be able to play it on my iPad, the bigger issue I have with Monarch Media is that the press conferences are inaudible. You can usually hear Bobby, but you can rarely hear the players, and you can never hear the questions.
Yea - I'm really talking about all of the video content on Monarch Media is inaccessible with an iPhone.
Post game Pressers. Wake Up with Bobby. Weekly pressers. Football and Basketball.
It's just stunning that's all in accessible with an iPhone.
Can't watch it and can't stream it to big screen.
A real loss.
Fault there lies with the content provider, without looking it up, I believe ODUs website is powered by NeuLion, which STILL uses Flash and isn't HTML5.

It's not just us.

ODU's website is indeed Neulion. CUSA.TV is Sidearm and also uses flash.

Sidearm also has no idea how to deal with payment info.
Not really iPhone related but ASN really needs to start sending their crew to games. Hard to believe they cannot just pay a couple of plane tickets. That's ridiculous. Video is fine but the broadcast is amateur at best.
They probably realize it's not worth it. Either they will be mediocre from a studio or mediocre from the press box. Maybe it's a selling point for their staff, they get to stay close to home every weekend.
You're probably right about that selling point for their staff.

I'd rather they just let the home teams handle the TV announcing...ala what SpiderTV did for the basketball game last night and what we've seen from ODUTV in the past. At least the call will be from the site itself.
I watched most of the 2nd half on my iphone via facebook last night. I have to say the quality was great. Good for the A10 to get that going this season. apparently they are doing 15 or so games throughout the conference that way this year.
I wonder how difficult it is to implement that. I would be sooooo happy if we could watch every game via facebook or twitter.
It looks like a conference thing and the people running CUSA probably never thought about it or it was a money issue.
I enjoyed the Facebook live experience.

Embarrassing. Flash has been dead for years at this point. There is no excusable reason for publishing content with flash. You might as well not even spend the money since nobody can watch it anywhere but on their computer.
