This coming Thursday night. Maybe we will get a chance to knock off a ranked team.
Man I hope they're ranked Thursday

We'll have to really luck up to overcome Cluster Faulkner.
First ever game between two 5-0 SBC programs.

Only because we were 4-0 and App was 5-0 when we met in Boone last year. Lol

That would be nice. If we beat them then we beat a ranked team. If we don't then an SBC moves up the charts.

But I would be surprised if they don't wait until after Thursday's game to make sure.
First off congrats on the great season and good to have y'all back on the schedule

Second, a recap of the last three times we've played one another (give em hell red!)

In a way a bigger game for StAte, a win really opens the door for the title. Troy still has to go to Statesboro. Though, that's not looking as formidable as it did. If Troy wins the title, they will clearly be the league's best. I know, I'm impressed with how solid they are in all aspects of the game. Of course, StAte's been down this road before (as recent as last year) they know how to win these type games. Really looking forward to watching.

It's a big game for Troy too. Troy's first good season since the fall of their dynasty and the rise of stAte's. If you don't get ranked today, a loss could keep you from getting ranked and winning the conference.

Yup.
I hope it's a good game. I don't have much faith in our offense, especially after watching yesterday's game. We're so hit and miss. Troy is going to give us hell. Looking forward to it.

Can you give us a rundown of your game with NMSU? Box score says you guys were ahead big early in the 3rd.

Looking for his, or any ARKST fan perspective. What did you do well, what did you not do well, etc. Looking forward to Thursday night.

Honestly, we were solid everywhere, as expected. NMST never really had a chance. LR3 had a solid game, but most of his yards came in the second half against our backups. We tried to open the second half with an onside kick (which smacked of something to do to practice it) and they got points off of that. Beyond that, defense played well and the offense did as well... especially the first team.

You want to know what will beat our team? A balanced offense and unpredictability. We seem to be at our best when playing against a team if we can predict what they're going to lean on going into the game.

Our best shot to beat Troy, IMO, is if their players come out with a big heads and underestimate us. Numbers don't tell the story on our team... we've been able to get a lead and sit on it in every game since GS, allowing teams to make it seem closer than it really was. I fully expect us to be full throttle for four quarters on Thursday.

We threw the ball well. QB was 20-27 for 257yds, 2TDs and one pick. 12 different guys caught a ball. We are still inconsistent on offense.

We did not stop Larry Rose III very well, but he's pretty dang good. Defense can get after a QB, though. We were on their QB the entire game.

We out-athleted them, put the game away early and coasted to a win.

We just had better athletes. Sort of like most of our wins this year. We still had sloppy moments. A few 3 and out, and NMSU crossed the 50 a few more times than I was comfortable with, but the defense usually held firm from there.

Had Anderson not tried a ridiculously stupid onside kick up 30 points in the 3rd quarter, we probably win by more. He sort of gave NMSU 7 points there for the sake of giving Troy some extra film to look at. They ended up scoring a touchdown off our backups in the last 10 seconds to set the final margin.

Only your team will beat your team, because you will have the most talented team Thursday just like you have had in all but one maybe two, of your games this year.

All the pieces are there to win and if Blake Anderson were not your HC, you would be having the same kind of season Troy and AppSt are.

As far as Thursday, I think it is unrealistic to expect your OL, and coaching on that side of the ball to finally get their act together, but if they did Troy could be in trouble.
Just a normal game for the current Red Wolves. Nice comfortable lead. They elect to do something stupid to put something else on film for Troy to prepare for with an onside kick that resulted in our kicker getting knocked by to third grade. NMSU converts the short field and is in a competitive situation.

I like that Aggie team. I've seen too many others in their situation quit.

There are times when our OL looks like they are blocking for a play in an entirely different parallel universe. Like maybe Canada.
