According to a tweet by Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle, UH will play Georgia Southern in 2020 and 2021.

What dangerous game to play, in multiple ways.
Tough matchup. Not much upside for UH

Very dangerous matchup for certain.
So exciting. We'll probably lose the road game.
GA Southern has a great ground game.

They could have at least scheduled a regional road game. This has zero upside and the potential to knock UH down a grade like the UTSA and Texas State games or recent vintage.
Hopefully you don't suck as bad in 2021 as you do in 2016...

Why? The AAC needs to play up, not down...

Hard to tell where we'll be, 2021 is 4 coaches from now.
Sets a bad precedent. Should be 2 for 1.
Yeah, I understand GS being elated but don't see this as beneficial for UH unless there is a recruiting benefit with gaining some exposure in GA. GS can be very competitive & they draw pretty well in Statesboro but I think the stadium only seats about 18K. Might as well play LA-Lafayette, NT or one of the other LA directional schools so UH fans could travel. Good luck on travel to Statesboro GA.

I would think Louisiana Tech would be the team to play. Conference dominance game.
When you get to HELL, you will know...its called Statesboro, GA.

Its 205 miles from Atlanta...165 miles from Jacksonville...135 miles from Charleston...91 miles from Hilton Head... 75 miles from Augusta and 55 miles from Savannah.

My life will be complete if I don't need to spend another second in that town.

Good luck convincing an SBC team to do a 2 for 1 unless they are a ULM or Texas State who desperately needs the home game for attendance purposes.

Especially with almost every other SBC school already signed to a future home and home with an AAC squad.
UH doesn't have the clout yet to ask for a 2-for-1 unless it's an FCS school (which begs the question why would they even ask for the 1)?

GSU was literally an FCS team a couple years ago. Please stop acting like AAC and Fun Belt teams are equal. Jesus.

He makes a valid point. Tulane, Tulsa, and Memphis (who plays about half of them) are all up on some Fun Belt over the next few years.

Tulane, Tulsa, SMU, Memphis, and Houston now all have home and homes scheduled in the near future with SBC teams. Just because App bowed down to your wishes and gave you a virtual 2 for 1 doesn't mean the rest of the conference is going to be able to get SBC teams to agree.

You guys are the Top G5 league, but that doesn't mean much in the long run.
