As we continue to try and place a team into the top 25, I started thinking of the historical big wins for your conference. For this conversation I'm referring to P5 and top 25 wins. Here is my list:

South Alabama is of course this season with wins over Miss St and ranked SDSU.
App has got to be the Michigan win.
ULM Has beat Alabama.
Troy beat Mizzou when they were in the top 10.
GaSo has beat Florida.

Forgive me, but I am going completely off memory, but what about

TXSt
ULL
Coastal-Do y'all have an FBS win yet???
stAte
Idaho
NMSU
GaSt

What do you consider as the signature wins???
#17 Missouri
Miss state
Oklahoma state
Navy
What's a "Signature Win?"

. .. just being flippant . .. . cause with our program, more Signature losses spring to mind . . . regrettably . .
If you're talking about since Sun Belt football was formed (2001) then these would be the ones I'd count for ULM since they are P5 schools:

2007 - Alabama
2012 - #8 Arkansas
2013 & 2014 - Wake Forest
Unfortunately for stAte they currently only have the 2008 victory over Texas A&M

While not a p5, red wolves did beat then ranked #25 Kent state in the 2013 godaddy bowl
UTA beat TCU on 9-29-79, 21-14
UTA beat TCU on 9-13-75, 24-7

That App 2015 must be top three based upon number of posts.
No, Coastal Carolina does not yet have an FBS win, so for now:

2005 (our third year in football existence ever) beating at the time #1 FCS ranked James Madison

That was the spark that set fire to expectations of what was gonna be possible for the program. From playing the likes of Newberry in year one, to beating a #1 in our division in three years. Followed by multiple FCS playoff berths, then playoff runs and giving eventual Nat Champ NDSU all they could handle. To now, a FBS berth. All since 2003. We don't look at "5 year plans", we just go do it.
NMSU- 1999 (35-7) over #22 Arizona State in Tempe. 2011 (28-21) win at Minnesota.

Before that 1959 Sun Bowl win over North Texas and 1960 Sun Bowl win over Utah State.
The easy answer for GS is the 2013 UF win, but the correct answer is the final 3 rounds of the 1985 1-AA playoffs with thrilling road wins over #1 ranked MTSU, #2 ranked Northern Iowa, and then over Furman in the title game. Everything GS accomplished and became prior to this year started right there.

1995 NLU over Mississippi State
I'd say for TXST since I've been following:

UH
Wyoming
stAte
Tulsa
Ohio

I don't think we've beaten a P5 unless you count Rice when they were in the SWC but these are wins over solid G5s.

Wasn't OKST ranked when we beat them?

I was wrong about the Gundy rant...that was a week later.
Does a 36-6 win over Florida State in 1947 count???

Ha! That's kind of neat, that was there first year playing football (and first year of being co-ed). I say yes, but we count our 1932 19-6 win over Miami too.

Very well played sir.
Didn't we beat Cincinnati back in 1999?

I don't think I am familiar with App playing Michigan in football. Is there anywhere on the internets where I can find out about this?
