Did anybody see the fans at Ball State and Kent all dressed as empty seats?
Ridiculous having Mid-week games especially tonight's Toledo game.
South side Chicago at 800 PM on a Wednesday !!
Not sure what NIU was thinking but it could be ugly.
Will be interesting to see who shows up...it won't be me on a work night! It is 7 pm Central time. My guess is that there will be quite a few folks that bought tickets long ago because of the field intrigue and potential MAC West championship. But now it is hard to think more than 10k or so will be there due to the time, location, and NIU disappointing season. That said, I think this will be one of the toughest games we play this year. They have athletes, our D struggles, and we haven't shaken the NIU monkey yet.
I think when they scheduled it they thought it would be championship game. I predict a tiny crowd and another MAC embarrassment. The bad news/good news is I am stuck in the hospital with knee joint replacement surgery, but will get to watch the Rockets on TV.
GET WELL SOON AND

GO RRROCKETSSSS

Nailed it. Of course, it wasn't hard to predict.

I'm not sure it would have mattered that much if both teams were 7-2. A Wednesday night in November played nowhere near either campus isn't going to draw squat under most every circumstance.

NIU has something like 120,000 alumni in Chicago.

Big Profits in Pizza....
$$$$$$$$$$$
I live in Chicago and went to the game last night. I got tickets in the UT section and cheering my lungs out for the Rockets. I will say, when I took the train home, there was a number of NIU fans on the train, so this game definitely was used to garner interest in alumni in the city. If NIU was having a better season, I could see the 10k figure about 15k-20k.
