Virginia Wesleyan from the NCAA Division III Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) finished 18-9 overall and 12-4 in their conference last season, which was 2nd place overall and 3rd place in their tournament. They return 4 starters and have 7 seniors on the team.
Head Coach David Macedo has been there for 16 years with a record of 359-115. In 2015 they reached the D3 final four; in 2007 they were the D3 runner up, and in 2006 they were the D3 champions.
Va Wesleyan has a student body of 1,450 and has 22 athletic programs. [Edited spelling]
Wesleyan has had a great D3 program since Macedo has been there. They are ranked #16 in the preseason rankings this year. They have a dynamic backcourt of Tim Jones and Khory Moore who can both score in bunches. They will be fun to watch this year.
*Side note: speaking of fun to watch, the CNU Captains are ranked #2 in the D3 Preseason rankings. They bring back their top 5 scorers from their NCAA Tournament team last year.
Also as a reminder, this game is free to stream from CUSA TV if you cannot attend. I thought the feed for Wednesday's game was high quality, sometimes the camera would drift off randomly during breaks but that's fine. This time I will be attending in person!
I'm there +2. Looking for improvement from the young guys and some more fluid offense.
I'll miss this one. Looking for more of the same as last game, with hopefully some better foul shooting by the Monarchs. If Kah is ready, hope he gets some action but only if he's totally healed.

Same next week with the JMU game as that Friday will be the 1st Rd. of the HS playoffs. Didn't some of you folks say you can find replays online somewhere? If so I would appreciate it if you would share that info again. Also, I am going out on a limb here and pick ODU to win tonight.

Our guards sucked the first half. Need to pick it up.
Not a great half by our defense. Number 4 is tearing us up. Teams combined for 30+ fouls. Refs not allowing any flow. To be fair most look like ok calls. Per usual terrible from the line.
