Pick your 12 team regional conference (excluding AAC teams) of the best G-5 teams no further west than La., and no further north than Kty. Base this on FOOTBALL only. I could care less about b'ball and volleyball!! Fire away boys.......

I know what you're getting at. But basing everything on football is not a good way to build a conference. Men's basketball is a huge factor.

Bending the rules, I'd rather have UAB instead of Troy all-sports, and Rice instead of either one of them just to keep a foot in Texas and their academic sway.

I accidentally put Rice twice in my first list. I think there's a real scarcity of desirable schools at our level and our brains are resorting to repetition.
