Quote:Northern Illinois University Athletics and Huskie Sports Properties, the multimedia partner of NIU Athletics, on Friday announced Northwestern Medicine as the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Huskie Chi-Town Showdown football game.

The historic contest, between the NIU Huskies and Toledo Rockets, will be the first ever played at the current home of the Chicago White Sox, Guaranteed Rate Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, November 9. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The announcement of Northwestern Medicine as the presenting sponsor for this marquee game of 2016 in Chicago coincides with a new agreement between Huskie Sports Properties and KishHealth System, a part of Northwestern Medicine, making that organization the exclusive health care provider for NIU Athletics.
Hmmmmmmm
I did notice that when I received my tickets for this game, they are printed with:

"Presented by Northwestern Medicine"
NIU football brought to you in part by Illini Tire and Northwestern Medicine.

That is interesting. MOI has been providing health care (especially orthopedics) to the teams for the very long time. MOI sponsored the homecoming game too.
Kish Health has been a long time sponsor. They got absorbed by Northwestern Medicine so here we are.

The exclusive provider thing seems new for sure.

the fact that it says Northwestern is irrelevant, its my provider and a stellar medical facility. We are lucky to be hooked up to quality. Illini tire, well thats another animal

Seems to me like SF sold a language upgrade to the new parent company to get a bit more money for athletics.

Northwestern Medical Field at Huskie Stadium

Eh...it would have to stay as Bob Brigham Field

Northwestern Medical Premium Club and Suites seem good OR the Convo changing name to Northwestern Medical Arena actually sounds better.
Noticed the purple Kish/Northwestern Medical logo marque on top of the stadium video board last night.

Was that there for Homecoming?

My wife is correct again! I am one of the least observant person she knows.
Certainly not the deal that we got from Geico a few years back at Soldier Field I'm sure.

I wouldn't think so...but that game wasn't on TV (thinking of #5 Wisconsin lead by that Wilson guy)

I think Geico was the very first SF game vs Iowa. With Red Rally towels sponsored by Geico?

Not sure...but I know they were the sponsor for the Wisconsin game since that was the only one I have attended.

Also it was the same day as the NASCAR race in the area which was also sponsored by Geico
