Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine is predicting that Senate Democrats will "change the Senate rules" to confirm a ninth Supreme Court justice if Republicans continue to block confirmation of any new appointments.

"I am a US senator. I have a prediction -- this is not a guarantee -- and I'm not revealing inside intel," said Kaine, who represents Virginia.

Kaine is full of $hit.
Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the Constitution would have to be amended.

Senate Democrats can not confirm Supreme Court Nominees on their own unless they took enough Senate seats to have the numbers.
He is that stupid people.
His boss said: "the Constitution of the United States of America is for the little people"
Like I said, an idiot
G'd grief.. and to think Kaine wsa the one thing I liked about the Democratic ticket.

And now this imbecile is showing his lack of knowledge
Kaine is a slimeball in the same mold as the Clinton's. When Hillary chose him as her running mate, it was a giant middle finger to those who felt the Bern. They got burned, and are too stupid to recognize it. If you are trying to make the most objective choice possible, you will have to wait until election day to do so. Who knows what other news will break before the election. We're in the internet age, so there is no hiding secrets forever.

Actually what Kaine said is totally correct, as he is referring to the Senate filibuster rule. Often called the "nuclear option", it assumes the Dems hold at least 51 seats.

Hopefully the American voters will never let that happen !

They didn't and we can celebrate.

Trump could replace 4 justices (Ginsberg, Breyer, Kennedy and Thomas), all of whom are over 70 (Thomas is 68 now) and could retire or pass away.
Why not stay at 8 justices?

A United States Senator is not going to divulge inside intel to the American people about his plans to subvert the methods used to select a supreme court justice.

Thank God he will not be VP

We could but we won't.
this just gives senate republicans political cover when they use the nuclear option themselves for SCOTUS. bitter, hate filled, weazen harry reid's legacy of trashing convention and protocol will reverberate in the senate for generations to come.

Why? Load that sucker up with a conservative majority that will last for a generation.

Elections matter.
Time to reload the Supreme Court !
Liberals are going to have to put Ruth Bader Ginsberg's head in a jar like Nixon on Futurama to keep her going.

Shut up hippie...
Ginsberg should recuse herself in any case dealing with Trump policies.

The one rule she has to operate under is to keep her mouth shut on her own personal biases and she couldn't even do that.
