Spurred by past (for the present) high fuel costs and sitting in "parking lot" rush hour traffic, the lure of living within the central city is being felt in many urban locations around America. This is also being felt as urban universities become more powerful on the sports scene. Rural and small town universities have had the upper hand and their grip is still largely dominant. The 21st century may see a shift toward urban center schools so that in decades to come, people will "remember when the old order" dominated.
