I'm pretty sure they would shut down our hoops.

You?
Im shocked the NCAA didn't punish WKU for Louisville's transgressions
i have never seen an organization with as much hypocri$y as the NCAA. Absolutely crucify the student athlete and small school, turn a blind eye and do moral/logical backflips for the Big Boy$/blue blood$.
They'd take back ODU's DII Men's Hoops Championship and both NCAA DI Women's Hoops Championships. They'd also find a way to take back the women's AIAW Hoops Championship as well.
It's a trick question, everyone knows G5 schools can't afford strippers and prostitutes.
Donte Hill would lose another year of eligibility.

I'm in no way condoning what I'm about to describe, and as the father of two daughters now, it makes me cringe.

However, when I still thought I was an athlete and went on a couple of recruiting visits to small, lower-level schools, they had girls that did that stuff without having to be paid...

I mean, are some of these doofuses so socially stunted they can't get girls?

Same thing with pro athletes whenever I hear strip club and/or sexual assault allegations.

Getting laid on a college campus (especially as a blue chip hoops recruit at Louisville) is only marginally harder than finding a vending machine that accepts your meal plan dollars.

If I'm a coach and a kid has to bang a stripper to have a good time, that's raises the kind of red flag I would see if he showed up with a Tony Montana coke mustache.

Likewise, if I'm a player, and the only girls that are around are strippers, is that the campus I really really want to be on?

Either way, this is jackassery at an amazing level.[/align]

Music videos and pro athletes made strippers acceptable so it's not about can't get a girl. It's more like...

party like a rock sta...I mean rapper
Jurich, Pitino and gang are like the mob. Don't cross them. See it?
UNC, Miami (fla), UL should all have had athletics suspended for a couple of years but the ncaa won't kill the cash cows.
WKU would have received the death penalty no doubt...Even more amazing looks like slick Rick is not even going to be suspended...Talking heads of course agree with this on how in the world could Rick Pitino know this? LMAO! Unreal, also Jay Bilas ESPN talking head usually kills the NCAA sees nothing wrong and is absolutely taking up for SLIck RICk and he had no idea about any of this, what a joke!....

An 18 year old high school kid being offered a stripper... do you really think they'd turn it down?

I'm not saying what they did was right, I'm in fact condemning it. Those kids could most likely get girls on their own, but that wasn't the point. I just wish the NCAA would grow a pair and punish the schools that deserve to be punished, or at least punish equally. This is embarrassingly pathetic on their part, regardless of what U of L imposed on themselves.

Its pathetic it happened on campus and Pitino and his posses have said numerous times how involved he is with every aspect of UL's program! Now you are telling me he had no idea, haha...
I just look at what happened to us. We had several athletes that were overpaid at a summer job and a professor that gave out a study guide to everyone in a class and the NCAA hammered us. Ohio State did the same things and even had people handing cash to their Heisman QB Troy Smith on national TV yet nothing happened to them.
Yeah, the U of Miami Herald would have started a burnt earth campaign and we'd be lucky to have an NAIA program by the time everything was said and done.

And the pc crowd talks about bullying; they need look no further than the state university systems.

at the end of the day, it's all about ^^^^

the methods implemented to raise the stock of college athletics and how it's evolved over the last fifty years is my number one pet peeve relative to ethics

it is this reason alone why I refuse to watch any p5/p5 match-up....
If UNC-CHeat wasn't punished for breaking pretty much every rule in the book (money, agents, fake classes, changing grades, passing students off as literate, parties, jewelry, clothes, cars, etc.) with athletes willing to talk about it (Rashad McCants, etc.), I'm fairly certain no blue blood will ever be punished again.

Cheat with impunity. What drives me crazy are the fans who brag about the national titles these schools win while this goes on and I'm over here like, "well, if our athletes didn't have to go to class (or even be able to read), or worry about money, or if we could recruit by throwing cars and hookers at kids, then we might have a few titles, too."

it is ^^^ why I can't wait for the flagshite schools to finally break away and leave us 80 something peons to realign in best method so 'fans' can once again realize the value of amateur sport....
