Good article with some NAVY perspective.. Good Aresco quotes

Gladchuk said the entire situation reinforces his belief the American is an extremely strong conference and said the task now is to get a television deal that reflects that fact.
"Obviously, the big hurdle to cross has do with television revenue. Maybe now, because we're stable and there is no expansion in the future, we can go back to the table and meet with the various television partners and talk about an enhanced value as a result of stability," Gladchuk said. "It's unfortunate the AAC got caught in that second tier at a time when there was so much uncertainty. There was shuffling going on and no one could determine true value. But now we have the ability to calculate true value. And I think we all agree that it's an enhanced value. We've got some great schools in some great markets and no one is going anywhere."

In the wake of the spotlight shone by Big 12 expansion, Aresco said now might be an ideal time to renegotiate with ESPN.
"We're going to see if we can't do that. We had thought a good time to renegotiate was the summer of 2017. In view of what's happened, we want to expedite that," he said. "We are a far more valuable brand than we were before. We have an awful lot to offer. An investment in the American is going to pay big dividends."
