We got jumped by two teams....now ranked 8

Richmond (6-1) claimed the No. 6 spot after a shutout of Villanova and South Dakota State (4-2) rose four spots to No. 7 after its big win over North Dakota State. James Madison (6-1), Charleston Southern (3-2) and Montana (5-1) completed the Top 10.

STATS FCS poll has been junk all year. Win the next 3 and it takes care of itself though.
how does NDSU drop to 4? This is a bunch of horsesh!t.. that said, I don't care about these polls LOL
I can't wait to destroy Richmond.

It's obvious the voters just looked at the scores. Richmond blanked Nova because their starting QB went down in the 2nd quarter.
Just win, baby! Dukes keep winning, that's all we can do. Win every week.
absolutely agree, but if we put people away it will help us get a higher seed (richmond / nova wins)...starting to feel like we will end up playing citadel later in the playoffs! what a blast that would be for coach H.
Who cares. Most of us are in agreement as to what 2 wins, 3 wins, 4 wins will yield.
Thankfully polls mean nothing. We just need to take care of business and we will be very happy with our path the the championship.

I finally watched the entire VU/UR game and Bednarczyk was in for all but their final possession of the 2nd quarter. Even prior to his concussion, he was playing awful all game. Both of their QBs were put in their place by Richmond's D.
Coaches Poll has us at 5 right behind NDSU. We got one vote for first, same as NDSU. SHSU number 1, Jacksonville State and Eastern Washington are ahead of us. Coaches know more than writers.

SIDs know more than writers.
AGS poll has us 6th, just behind The Citadel. That's usually a decent poll.
Believe the FCS selection committee has (or at least used to have) its own nonpublic ranking for each of the 4 regions that is used during the seeding process. Pretty sure that holds a lot more weight than the published poll results, though that ranking may be influenced by them to some degree.

I suspect the selection committee ranking would look more like the coaches poll results than the STATS poll, though it's tough to know this without talking to a selection committee insider.
Sagarin has us 10th - one place behind Sam Houston. The two teams right behind us are ODU and the Ticks.

Currently at 105 in the Sagarin poll. Pretty sure we have not moved more than 4 or 5 spots in either direction from out starting spot.

I guess I should have made that more clear....we're the 10th ranked I-AA team. (Still ahead of ODU.)

In 2008 we got as high as 32nd and just in front of Clemson before losing to Montana. I was working with a few Clemson grads and enjoying the moment. Wish I had screen shot that ranking.
