It's an epidemic in all of college football.
Ours was much better the last 2 years, it seems we've changed the way we do it. Under Fritz, they taught the "hawk" tackle which Pete Carroll prefers (and has a teaching series out there for). It preaches lower leverage, and getting on a players hips to stop them. Typical convention for coaching tackles is up high, getting your head/chin across their body. It doesn't really promote getting in position for a good wrap up....then add in Sportscenter and everyone goes for big hits and a lot of times forgets that they have hands.
