I am a life time Tiger football and basketball Fan!!!
I know people will think aww your out of the Big12 Lottery so now you like
this conference.
Seems to me this is the Best set up for Tiger programs, and I enjoy rooting for
the AAC conference as a whole except when Tigers take the field against you swine.

So much potential, solid teams but what school wouldn't enjoy a bump in exposure or money ,so for those that do make the cut good luck, and really best wishes.

I just wish we could break through with so many weak P5 teams that got grandfathered into their status , not saying some do not deserve their spot.
There are some teams that are just riding a gravy Train.

I see so many up and coming Teams in the AAC it is a good day when AAC Football and Basketball are on !!!
All of our brands are solid.

Our coaching and recruiting is on a nice upward trajectory.

Television ratings and national rankings support the AAC's relevance.

Commish Aresco now has a nice resume to sell.
I'm in.

.
I totally agree with you. I'm really enjoying this conference. The only reason I wanted my Tigers in the big12 was for the money and access but I truly want this particular group of teams to stay together. I've stated this many times even while rooting to big12 admittance. With the synergy being created by this conference, I am just praying that we can make it to our new contract negotiations. If we can get at least 10mil plus and a contract bowl I would be completely content with sitting back and watching the American gradually morph into hopefully a p6 league.

Well - most of them - sigh.

This is some serious mom and apple pie stuff :-)

fanhood, The San Diego State fans that used to frequent this board were always very appreciative of that pie. Even when Boise cut their deal, the San Diego State fans here were solid for this conference.

Keep in mind, that was 3 years ago when we were looking at a rebuild.

Not sure who twisted your heiny hairs (perhaps you don't like being passed by) but I do think you would have more fun on the Sunbelt board. Those South Alabama fans are a hoot.

This is a strong conference and fun to watch. Just imagine what we could do with the P5 money compared to that of the perennial P5 bottom feeders.[/i]

I enjoy watching the conference, not so much ECU at the moment LOL.
We need to shore up basketball.

And we need to get paid. Many schools here already compete with the P5 with 0% to 10% of their revenues. Imagine what we could do if TV would pay us 25% of the lowest-paid P5 conference.

Poor IT guy trying to save the equipment from the Gatorade dump....
It's a fun conference. Need to improve revenue and basketball, but it's a nice little group.
It'll be interesting to see the moves the new coaches will make at Memphis, Tulane, and UCF.

The main improvements that need to be made for the AAC now are at ECU Basketball and USF Basketball. Outside of those 2, I think we're looking ok in the other sports.

The AAC has competitive teams. In football, there have been different champions each of the last three years. There will probably be a different one this year. This shows a strong conference, not one with 1 or 2 strong teams.

This can work against us as it is not likely to have an undefeated team. That might prevent NY6 games for conference teams.

The AAC has established itself as being above the G4 conferences. This is apparent by reading/viewing any national media. If AAC schools can get a decent boost in income, programs will continue their upward trends.
