Just saw this..

He was very sick a couple of years ago and seemed to have recovered. So sad.
25 is way too young. So sad.
I'll always remember his lay-up to complete the comeback over SMU in 2010. We were down 24 in the second half, and we came back and won!

RIP, Cam.

UAB tops SMU in comeback
My favorite Cam moment is this one. We had just won the 2011 CUSA championship and he took time in the celebration to snap this pic with my kids. He was a hard working player and a great person.

Cam's last facebook post a few weeks ago.

Fighting the same fight different round. Sometimes I might hit the canvas, but I always get up before they count me out! My journey...
Got to know him some during my time with BlazerTV....just at a loss for a 25 year old to be gone. Cam was most likely the best coaching find and development job by Mike Davis. He vastly improved during his time at UAB.

The article indicates he may have been practicing when this happened, I wonder if he had stopped playing if he could have still lived. No matter though, my prayers are with his family and teammates. Glad I said hello when he was in Bartow last year.

I remember this game like it was yesterday. It was my first experience with streaming a basketball game online.

That game and the three pointer against UTEP to win in 3OT's are what I'll remember the most about him. Can't leave out the 24 rebounds at George Washington either.

He came in as a lanky walk-on and flourished to become the CUSA defensive player of the year. He will be missed.
Playing aside we was a heck of a nice person and wonderful human being.
sad day. He was a fun player to watch Develop. Praying for his family and teammates.
This really hurts. RIP, big guy.
R.I.P. Cam
I'll never forget that game winning 3 he hit against UTEP in the 3rd OT...RIP
The type person who represented UAB & himself very well in all aspects of life.

our program is old enough now that it is expected to lose players every once in awhile. but to lose Torrey Ward and now Cam Moore at such young ages is very very sad.
It is indeed MB.
