If a state of emergency is called statewide, will the game be canceled?

FL and NC already declared SOE yesterday. SC can't be too far behind.
It seems to still be sticking close to the coast. Local news is saying the rain will stay east of Hburg but all that could change as Saturday gets closer.

the last hurricane had odu and nsu both postpone their games to sunday. why wouldn't most va schools just do the same? It should be off to the NE by then.
I'm flying in from Chicago for my first game at BFS since 2007. This better not ruin my trip.
some other models i've seen by the weather channel show it moving a bit slower, not getting to VA until sometime sunday morning.
Damn it.... Charleston may get pummeled
Down in Holden Beach, NC ... sounds like they are evacuating come Friday

Nikki Haley has ordered a mandatory evac starting tomorrow in coastal areas of South Carolina

If Coastal Carolina gets destroyed, can we have their spot in the Sun Belt?

Someone had to make this thread about conference expansion
Looks like WM and JMU both have BYE weeks at the same time ( 10/22)?
seems like a no- brainer to move the game to that date and make this a bye week if things go as expected.

Play in the remnants of the hurricane if you have to. Last time JMU did that (@ VU 04') they went on to win the win.
All my weather guys are saying it is turning east now. Virginia should be okay, unless they change their forecast again tomorrow.
Matthew is now forecasted to make a sharp east turn (out to sea) off the coast of North/South Carolina. No forecasted US landfall. Great news for the US. The Bahamas are going to be hit hard by this cat 4 storm.

JMU game weather should not be impacted by this hurricane.
