3 teams from the SBC getting votes. Awesome, and also a first.
How many SBC teams have gotten at least 1 vote at some point?
Not including these three teams, I know GS, stAte, UL, and TXST have.
What is the most votes a school has gotten? I know we got 10 after we beat UH in 2012. Fooled those dang voters when we proceeded to go 4-12 that year.
I want to say Troy got 20 something in 09
People, the number after teams aren't total votes - they are Points. You get 1 Point for being ranked 25th, 2 for 24th and so on. Technically one person could have voted Troy 23rd, USA 24th and APP 25th to achieve this result.
Troy did get pretty high up in 2009. The highest Troy got was in 2004 when they came in at #29 in the AP Poll after starting 2-0 by beating Marshall and then beating #17 Missouri.
Unfortunately, Troy laid an egg in their third game losing by 4 points to NMSU... dashing all hopes of a Top 25 ranking.

I was referring to about TXST getting votes because it was in the AP poll and we were in the Others Receiving
VOTES category.

I was referring to about TXST getting votes because it was in the AP poll and we were in the Others Receiving VOTES category.
I was more referring to when they said Troy: 3 votes (etc) when in fact it could be just one vote but received 3 points.
Considering the only two games App has lost are to two undefeated teams, I'd say that one vote is justified. Troy looks like the real deal with Silvers and those receivers.

Votes/points are interchangeable here.

Thank you. I read a bunch on here. Used to post under the same name without the 99 which is the year I graduated from TROY . I couldn't remember my password ha! Anyway I plan to post a good bit more.
