JMU #6 Coaches Poll
JMU #7 Stats FCS Poll
JMU #7 AGS POLL
JMU #8 Hero Sports Poll
Solid. Keep winning and we will continue to rise.
I checked out our Sagarin rating. We are at 9th highest FCS team at 104. I don't remember what our pre-season rating was, but we haven't moved more than one spot from our current 104 since after the Morehead game. Must be doing exactly what the computer thinks we should.
Baffling that the stats poll has UR ranked ahead of us after they got pummeled by SB and then SB gets pummeled by Sacred Heart (who?)
How about Albany? 4-0 with a 1A win and the pollsters can't get them any higher than#22? They have W&M ranked higher with two losses one of which is to an unranked team at home by 17 points. Come on pollsters, give us a little bit of effort.
Nice to see the Dukes Top 10 in all of the polls.

Keep playing hard and keep on improving.

houston's old team is up there too after barely beating 3 mediocre teams

No argument here. We should not be ranked at all after losing to Elon.
My AGS poll this week had Albany in front of the CAA with the FBS win and otherwise undefeated. I still think the spiders are a more complete team than JMU, although if the Dukes can start getting to the QB like they did in Q4 at Maine, then JMU will leapfrog UR soon enough. UR still gets the benefit of the UVA win for now until we see more. Villanova has no reason to be polling much better/worse than JMU either. W&M fell out after losing to Elon. UD has a top 10 defense, but a bottom 10 offense. Still, that defense is impressive enough for me to include them this week at #24.

OOC - I reward the W-L column the most. Early in the season, it admittedly makes for a wacky poll as the eye test may not agree with the Ws/Ls, but in due time it settles. I do this to help the schools like Sacred Heart, Central Arkansas and Tenn St. get their due for taking care of business early on. They should be recognized more than a UNI team that keeps losing close games, even if it is to superior competition. I'm intrigued to see how long The Citadel can maintain its success without Houston at the helm. Western Illinois just might be a dark horse for a deep playoff run.

WHOA! Totally just now noticed I forgot to include Montana. Even with the Cal Poly loss, I would have ranked them 10-15. Oops! 03-shhhh

Unfortunately probably not. They will have another loss (maybe two) by then. I'd love for another top 10 matchup (and with the visiting team be victorious again) but I don't see it happening.
