The Auburn-LSU game yesterday was billed in advance as a coach elimination bowl with the losing team also losing its head coach----and it appears to have played out according to the script.

And to think a very few years ago there were some elements at Michigan who wanted to hire him. Of course he was riding high in the SEC at time, but this business is strictly "what have you done for me LATELY"
It's pretty strange to fire him now when they were considering it during the offseason. Tom Herman's buyout would have been cheaper then than it is now.
too bad he only won 77% of his games.

This is the type of attitude at these football factories like LSU, Ala, Ohio State (beat everybody else, but lose to UM fans mentality-your gone) thats what you get. Miles should have taken the UM job, at least he would still be employ.
Yeah, he could have taken that Michigan job, where if you post 8-9 wins per season against weak competition, and get blown out in 100% of your rivalry games, you're a hero (as long as you're a 'Michigan Man'). Oops, too late. Well, I don't think Les will have much trouble finding work again.
He could take the job in BG. Nobody would even notice there was another new coach in town.
