Full Version: Need Help Signing Into ESPN3

Hey fellas,
I know that this may have been an issue for someone else on here in the past, but I can't find (read I'm too lazy) the thread regarding such. I was trying to get a game on ESPN 3 through my Watch ESPN App on my Roku over the weekend and I keep getting a message stating "0066" error message , no account returned from UPDA.
Now, before you ask, I have ATT internet , use a roku for ESPN Watch app in order to access ESPN3 , and have Directv. I have heard that I need to reauthenticate my credentials (whatever in the hell that means). If I need to sign out of something and sign back in, I kind of get it. However, do I need to sign out of ROKU and sign back in or sign out of ATT internet and sign back in. Thanks a bunch for any assistance.

My disclaimer first. I am not a computer guru and do not want to be. However, I have tried several times in the last two weeks to sign in and get the same message you are receiving. I have given up and plan to just watch on roku. What good is a service if it cannot be easily used?

Sounds like you might have to fight through it.

Cycling the power on the roku and then deactivating live tv inside the ESPN App and then reactivating it is what I'd try.

Perhaps the problem is you have some kind of combo ATT/Direct TV deal and that is confusing the issue.


Your actual provider of ESPN TV (Direct TV?) logically should be the username/password you use to authenticate/activate Live TV. Your internet service provider should have nothing to do with it.

Did just that and fought through a couple of sign out/sign in cycles last night and it works today. Thanks for the heads up.
I have found that ESPN/ABC apps after a few months will put up that error code. All you have to do is sign out and back in with your TV provider info.
