I really hope we don't give up 50 at home!!! But Army is playing really well this season.. If Bulls lose this one, Leipold really needs to start looking into making some coaching staff changes

Alabama over Kent St BIG
Central Michigan over Virginia BIG
Wyoming over Eastern Michigan close
Appalachian St over Akron
Cincinnati over Miami BIG
Ball St over Florida Atlantic
Georgia Southern over Western Michigan
Army over Buffalo
Memphis over Bowling Green St
Ohio over Gardner-Webb
Northern Illinois over Western Illinois

****Game of the Week is CMU against Virginia. CMU has a chance to go 4-0 with a win over a Power 5 team

****We need wins for EMU, Akron, and Ball St. That'll raise the perception of the Conference if our average teams can beat the average Group of 5 teams.

****So I see the MAC going 4-7 but see several coin flips.
Bold=Beats Team; Underline=Beats Spread

Wyoming -3 @ EMU
*Unfortunately, EMU cannot withstand an improved Wyoming team on the road to Ypsi. EMU makes it a game though, and loses by only 10.

CMU -3.5 @ Virginia
*CMU struggles a bit on O as Virginia locks them in a bit, but Pooper-Rush gets his passing going and they win by 10.

BSU -3.5 @ FL-Atlantic
*Anybody's game. BSU's QB isn't great and can make mistakes. Good running game should roll over FL-Atlantic, but mistakes can cost BSU, which will prevent them from winning solidly.

Army -14 @ Buffalo
*WOW, Army came out of nowhere. Possibly a bit overrated, and Buffalo has more potential than they're showing. But Buffalo can't stop them, and loses 37-21; by 16

App St -6 @ Akron
*Akron puts up an offensive fight, and does well in a back-n-forth game, but App St wins by a TD.

GA-Southern @ WMU -7
*GA-Southern scares WMU again. A last second FG by the mullet-less true freshman kicker for WMU wins the game. But don't be surprised if I'm wrong and GAS pulls the 'upset'.

Kent State @ Alabama -43.5
*Kent State punches Alabama in the mouth early (or a bit late), thanks to mistakes on Alabama's part and KSU with nothing to lose. They 'only' lose by 30.

Miami-OH @ Cincinnati -18
*Miami showed winning potential in the last game. This is a rivalry that's more important to Miami-OH, as Cinci will overlook it but win by 14-17 in the end.

BGSU @ Memphis - 16.5
*BGSU's semi-anemic offense and not-exactly stifling D, in Memphis, lets it get away from them despite battling a bit. Memphis wins by 20+.

Western Illinois @ Northern Illinois
Gardner-Webb @ Ohio
Friday 9/23

Wyoming 38 @ EMU 31. Last year, Wyoming's starting QB went down early in this game. Wyoming and EMU both appear to have better teams this season. However, neither has shown they can lock down a good offense. I see Wyoming in a close shootout. Prove me wrong!

Saturday 9/24

Kent St. 13 @ #1 Alabama 49. 04-jawdrop 04-bolt

CMU 34@ UVA 24. Last time we played UVA, Tiki Barber was still tearing up college defenses and we lost 55-21. Now? UVA is scoring 18.7 ppg while giving up 31.3.

Gardner-Webb 20 @ Ohio 55. Unless Ohio has a major letdown, this one shouldn't be in doubt for long.

App. St. 35 @ Akron 28. Both these teams are enigmas early; each has been on both sides of a blowout already. This could go either way, but I think Appy State comes out looking to make a point after getting hammered by Miami (FL).

Miami 17 @ Cincinnati 28. Anything can happen in a rivalry game, and Miami played better in their loss to WKU. If this game were in Oxford, I'd be tempted to pick the upset.

WIU 28 @ NIU 41. WIU beat EIU (!) and N. Arizona by double figures. NIU has made a poor showing to date and is down to QB #2, but the Huskies did display some fight against SDSU. This could be a tough game, but I think NIU avoids the FCS loss.

Ball St. 33 @ FAU 27. FAU is coming off consecutive road blowouts. BSU looks improved so far this season. Enough to win this game, I think.

Ga. So. 26 @ WMU 28. This one could go either way, but I think WMU narrowly avenges a blowout at GaSo last season.

Army 52 @ Buffalo 24. Army is literally running over teams right now. This doesn't bode well.

BGSU 20 @ Memphis 42. I thought BUGS would take a step back this season after losing their star QB, RB, and coach. Instead they appear to have taken several.
Nobody is picking Akron just like last week. Hopefully it ends up in a similar result.
Nevada ran on UB like the Bulls were little 9 year old children. Seriously, given what we've seen Army do the first 3 weeks, I have no idea how UB will stop them on one single drive. If Army ever decides to play action pass, there will be Army receivers standing by themselves ready to waltz in for a TD.

The young 6'7" QB for Buf can run but he can't seem to connect with a receiver on simple pass plays. Hoping this is not the mismatch it appears. UB picked a bad year to schedule a decent Army team.
Wyoming @ EMU
Kent St. @ #1 Alabama
CMU @ UVA
Gardner-Webb @ Ohio
App. St. @ Akron
Miami @ Cincinnati
WIU @ NIU
Ball St. @ FAU
Ga. So. @ WMU
Army @ Buffalo
BGSU @ Memphis

Outside of NIU, KSU, Miami, and BGSU i predict a good showing from the MAC. NIU has played one good quarter out of the last 8. NIU joins Miami and Buffalo by losing to an FCS team.

I think EMU takes care of business against Wyoming, something NIU couldn't do. Central Michigan beats UVA by a lot! Ohio and Ball State win by a lot. I don't know anything about GaSo but WMU has been taking care of business.
I predict Toledo remains undefeated. I predict, and hope I'm wrong, that CMU does not. Kent, BGSU, Miami, Buffalo and Ball fall.

I don't know, BYE looks pretty tough this year. They have everyone back from last year. Seems like those guys have been there forever.
Wyoming 34, EMU 31: A close game between two teams that are improved from last year. I think Wyoming isn't climbing out of a big a hole as EMU is attempting to climb out of, so I'll take the Cowboys, though coming 2,000 miles east on a Friday night isn't easy.

Alabama 56, Kent State 7: Nick Saban takes it easy on his former school.

Central Michigan 41, Virginia 24: Virginia is Kansas, P-5 bad. If CMU can go into Oklahoma State and play well enough to win, should have no problems in Charlottesville.

Ohio 35, Gardner-Webb 10: Probably won't be pretty, but I don't think the Bobcats will have too much trouble.

Akron 34, Appalachian State 28: This is probably the kiss of death as I actually predicted the Zips would shock the world and win at Wisconsin (on the Zips board) and then predicted Marshall would beat them last week. I see this being a wild one.

Cincinnati 31, Miami 17: Miami keeps it relatively close again in a rivalry game, but doesn't have the horses to get a win.

NIU 41, WIU 20: The Huskies will get off the mat for this week.

Ball State 34, FAU 31: This will be a close one down in Florida. Tough to judge FAU since they've played two solid P5 teams on the road, but I'll go MACtion here.

Western Michigan 24, Georgia Southern 21: This looks like it will be a great game and I think the boat will row to a revenge victory.

Army 27, Buffalo 16: The Bulls keep it respectable, but Army looks solid this year so I don't think it will be enough, even in Buffalo.

Memphis 45, Bowling Green 28: BG could be a team that spoils the MAC East later in the season, but this just wasn't the year to break in a new coach and essentially everybody on the offensive skill positions.

6-5 week, but I don't have a lot of confidence in anything other than Kent State losing. Maybe Ohio and NIU losing would be somewhat shocking, but either losing wouldn't exactly floor me.

Toledo has a bye week. The FB Rockets will be unbeaten going into week #5.
Wyoming @ EMU So far EMU has a blowout loss to an SEC team sandwhiched in between a rout of a weak FCS opponent and a good win over a week G5 team. Wyoming trains and plays at a high altitude and are having a decent season like EMU is. I think the Cowboys will head home winners in this one.

Kent St. @ #1 Alabama At least the Golden Flashes will get paid handsomely for the butt whooping they are about to receive.

CMU @ UVA Virginia isn't good. Central is. Chips rout the Hoos.

Gardner-Webb @ Ohio After a tough loss in Knoville the Bobcats get back on track.

App. St. @ Akron Appalachian State is one of the top 3 teams in the Sun Belt Conference and after their home loss in front of a record crowd, they are going to be in a bad mood and unfortunately for Akron that anger will be taken out on them.

Miami @ Cincinnati Miami looks good this year, just not good enough to win right now.

WIU @ NIU I don't know much about Western Illinois so by default the Huskies get their first win of the season.

Ball St. @ FAU Ball State is better than what people are giving them credit for. I think they are the 4th best team behind Toledo, CMU and WMU in the West right now.

Ga. So. @ WMU Not going to pick a winner. Both teams control Time of Possession, both teams have great running offense and running defenses. It come down to has the best passing game and defense.

Army @ Buffalo Have to go with my 2nd favorite team Army. They have a monster running game and Buffalo is just awful this year. By the 3rd quarter hopefully Army can start getting the passing game some experience.

BGSU @ Memphis This is just not the Falcons year.

Hence, 007's BYE comment. We go from BYE to BYU.

Ballsy pick! Looks like you drank a little Pepsi before you made that call. I think EMU could win, I hope they do... but I can't see them getting over the hump. Hope they do. Of course, that'll also mean NIU is Not good this year.
