A big momentum killer in the NC State game.
Glad to have him back for UTSA. Our season begins now.
We need 5 out of 9. A bowl bid 3 years into FBS play and 2 years away from a complete FBS Roster would be great.

Bobby Wilder said Blake LaRussa has overtaken Shuler Bentley as #2 on the depth chart during his press conference today.

Does not bode well for our long term future.

Damn. I must have been wrong on Larussa. Kudos to him. I wonder what that means with Bentley, does he transfer out? With the way Bentley played down the stretch and in camp, I was had some hope.
What the heck do we do next year?
Hope and pray Drayton is the real deal.

Wow. I don't know if that means Blake has made tremendous strides or that Shuler really fell off. What a strange journey it's been, from the ODU Football department practically naming him the heir apparent to being demoted to 3rd string...

Seriously. I can't believe Shuler, our highest touted recruit ever can't beat out a walk-on. We can't seem to catch a break. Cant imagine Bentley stays around if he's 3rd string. After all the hype of him being better than Heineke Im not sure I even trust the staff evaluations. Hope Drayton is awesome. Sounded like a good pick up when we signed him.

I just looked at the transcript and listened to it and I didn't hear him mention this. Its possible I missed it, but I was listening for it. Does anyone have the minute-mark?

You have to play it backwards.
It must have been when he sat down with Harry because it was not during his press conference.

Amen...if Larussa is #2 we are in a world of hurt at QB.

If this is true, then can AimHigh, 83Alum, myself, and a few others get some love around here?
EDIT: IMHO, our OLine is just as slow, if not slower than last year. I suspect that Blake was moved up because he at least wouldn't be a "sitting duck" (anther poster's words) in the pocket.

I'm not gonna openly say anything yet but there will be a story in the coming months.

Yeah, it wasn't on the video portion. He does a sit down with the media as well. It was posted on twitter by a Daily Press reporter.
Bentley never looked like a real qb to me.
He was a lot of hype and he never looked close to living up to it.
He constantly bounced 3 yard passes and had less than impressive accuracy and arm strength and now he's behind a 5"10 walk on.
It is what it is.
