Sept 7, 2019 in Akron
Sept 12, 2020 in Birmingham
The last time I was in Akron, some Indian food gave me explosive diarrhea.
The present Akron FBHC (Terry Bowden) was the FBHC at Auburn who gave UAB its first D1/FBS game to open the season in 1996.

Yes, but there's twice as much of him now.

Our new ticket manager used to be theirs, and I suspect that connection played a part.

Akron adds home/home series w/Troy in 2017 & 2019 & w/UAB in 2019 & 2020
So Troy and UAB both needed games in 2019 and they both choose to play Akron? Interesting.
I suggest a trip to the Football Hall of Fame for anyone making the trip.
It's been a while for me. I agree with that recommendation.
They have a wonderful stadium.
I'm happy we've deviated away from 2 sec games per season
Fingers crossed for a Steeler's home game on September 8th 2019.

Kind of a shame. The Troy State Condoms playing in the Rubber Bowl would have been a perfect marketing storm.

Wasn't even the 1st time that Bowden played UAB. When UAB played a game at Samford Bowden was the head coach.

Final 65-38. Akron is a good team, but I think Marshall was looking ahead to Louisville next week, too...
