The 6-foot-9, 230-pound Reese, a four-star recruit ranked No. 87 in the national 247Sports composite, is down to UAB and Alabama as his finalists. Reese made an unofficial visit to Arizona State last month, but cancelled a planned official visit to Georgia.
We've finished in 2nd on so many guys. Time to close out another William Lee level recruit.
An interesting tidbit in the article is Reese talking about the point-forward position. That's the biggest hint towards Ehsan's offense, and it probably means that we'll see Haha be more active this upcoming season, which is good.

I dont like it, but hopefully it works.

Good eye. I noticed that as well.

With the makeup of this team we could see a style similar to Golden State with lots of shooters. Could be interesting games against Marshall & Charlotte who run a run-n-gun type of offense. Ehsan also spoke of being a better defensive team, so we'll see.

To the recruiting buffs, what are odds Reese lands at UAB? 1 in a 100?

Hasn't he been telling everybody since 7th grade he is going to UAT?

My gut feeling is UAB leads slightly (60/40). Although I think it will be much closer to 50/50 if he does take the official visit at UA.

I hope you are right.
I got this bad feeling that we only on the list to keep UAT guessing. Classic negotiation tactic...

They do negotiate at a higher level than we do.

Negotiators
Bama just lost out on 2 more bigs from their recruiting list. More pressure on them to sign Reese. He could very well be their only big(PF,C) signee...
Based just on the info in this thread, we are his backup plan.

They dont need many bigs even they lose three
Taylor,Hale, and the 5th yr guy that signed with then who had UAB interest at a point in time.

They got Hall in 2015 and got Giddens and Key this year all four stars. Reese would battle Key for three years.
Here's a link to an Alabama basketball recruiting thread if anyone is interested in what they think about Reese, or if you just want to see them talking crap about us. Link
We have posters who talk enough crap about us. Why go looking for more

Only 3 bigs after this year, including 1 center. Need more size than that in SEC... I don't think Reese really wants to be a full-time 4. I don't think they want to depend on a frosh in that position, either.

Seems like Reese is tier three for them
