When I looked at the Blade today, none of the college football box scores included attendance. I've never seen this before. When I go to ESPN for box scores, like for UT which still isn't up on its website, no attendance given.

Box scores are standardized and are filled out at the game.

What's up?
23,439 according to Rocketnation twitter.

And that's the number in the box score on utrockets.com
And I just checked ESPN & Yahoo, and they both show the attendance. On ESPN it's listed under the Gamecast link, on the left side.
Not a bad crowd. Hopefully it continues to improve.
23,000 for a home opener against an FCS opponent in 2016 is quite impressive. I wonder if actual butts in the seats match with that number

The guys on NCAABBS, Mid-Am version are obsessed with attendance. There is almost always a thread w official attendance that is updated 10seconds after the last fan walks through the gate. Also ten comments on each update explaining why the official attendance is wrong. But you can almost always get the numbers there.

At the end of the first quarter, it appeared pretty close to that.
It (the crowd, not the picture) looked good on TV. They kept commenting on how packed the student section was, which is great to hear.
I was very impressed at how full it was, and how full it stayed throughout the 3rd quarter. Bravo students
