Don't know if the weather delay and altitutude in Wyoming made a difference but the Huskies looked slow and lethargic in the first half that I was able to watch.
Greg Hare back at QB. Type of QB that gives us fits. We better figure out how to stop him and their offense. Haven't been able to do that for a long time.

Looked like altitude made a huge difference. Several NIU players complained about not being able to breathe. Being usually fatigued
and the game going into OT compounded things. Of course Golladay was Golladay.
NIU has a good team. they kind of pissed that one away with missed opportunities and letting wyoming back in it when they had control. weird late night game at altitude. delayed 2 hours and played in the immediate aftermath of a big storm. give it up to wyoming fans. they draw ok, not great. have a 30k stadium a little bigger than glass bowl and enough fans hung around through the delay to get it about 2/3 full and were loud and stayed through till the OT for the most part. having a home advantage in OT is big. MAC fans have gotten short winded. when mac games go OT there's usually less than half the crowd left to cheer.
Can't imagine there were too many other options in Laramie by the time the game actually started. When we played them loved the guy wearing the barrel...

Type of QB that GAVE us fits. That was a much improved defense I saw on Friday. I think we can throw away the history books when it comes to tendencies.

I also think that this may be the year the Rockets break the losing streak against NIU but for a slightly different reason. For whatever reason Beckman and Campbell seemed "snake bitten" against NIU year after year after year, but now there is new sheriff in town and hopefully that evil spell NIU cast on the Rockets is now broken.

P.S.----good to see you back posting to kick off the new season.
