Good morning and happy Labor Day weekend fans! Well college football has started and the Bearcats are undefeated. The coach cliche about the most important game being the next game is true. The Bearcats neat to be Purdue and not let them up off the mat. Purdue is beatable, new coaches, self doubt, you team are to the Boilermakers disadvantage. Home cooking, new coaching schemes and desperation are to their advantage. The Bearcats bring experience and stability with them to West Lafayette. A loss for either team will start the elimination of the College Playoffs. Go Bearcats and make the trip up 74/65 if possible.02-13-banana
Two concerns...

1) Tubs on the road during his UC career is less than inspiring.

2) Not thinking ahead to a highly ranked Coogs squad coming to Nippert the week following the visit to West Lafayette.

The Cats can't drink to kool-aid that Purdue sucks. This is still a road game against a P5 with likely a fired up crowd.

I doubt their crowd will be very fired up.
They average 37,500 per game in a 62,500 seat stadium. The crowd should be a non-factor.
There is plenty of reason for concern with Saturday's visit to West Lafayette. Illinois was pretty awful when UC visited in Tub's first season and the Bearcats appeared lifeless much of that game. Add in the disaster @ USF and two flat bowl performances and UC fans are justifiably bewildered about the state of the program.

Past behavior is the best predictor of future performance. I'm hoping UC takes care of business against a P5 bottom feeder...but fearing another embarrassing setback.
A must win if we have ever had one. This would set the Thursday game up great. Win or lose the following Thursday, we would look great on nati Tv.

Might be a better crowd earlier in the season with a more interesting regional out of conference opponent than a Ball State (nothing against them).
Purdue has been consistently bad, the other night doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence though. Be content with a win, a lot more enthusiastic if they show significant improvement.
Can anyone tell me in what Section is the UC ticket allotment for the Purdue game? Thanks.

After poking around on the Purdue ticket site, I think it is section 102 and 103. That is where I got my tickets.

Follow up question. Is anyone planning to tailgate (in the forecast rain), and if so, what parking lot? Thanks

It's sec 117/118 per uc tix office
Purdue fans wrote this season off months ago. I know one guy who is a die-hard Purdue fan but he bought season tickets for Illinois this year because he's more excited about Lovie Smith than his own Boilermakers.

With any luck, a good-sized portion of the crowd will be red and black.
UC announces we are wearing white helmets again this week. I actually don't mind the all white look.

The #Bearcats will wear all white this weekend & feature patriotic elements to honor the 15-yr anniversary of 9/11.
^^^ if so, i hope someone snaps a good picture

EDIT: was in response to the red/black crowd @ purdue
CTT interviewed on radio today. Made two relevant points...6 of 11 starters on offense vs UTM were first time starters(offense settled down 2nd half), and Kiel injured his shoulder 2nd pre-season practice and didn't practice again. He is still in the running for starter. Four receivers sent to nfl. All new this year.

First of all, I hate the all whites and the white helmets.

Still in the running to start this game or just in the running to perhaps start at some point this season?
Some point in the season as I took it.

Did he have any excuses for the defense?
Btw...a reason Kiel didn't start is cause they have new offensive coordinator and different offense schemes so Kiel not set with it yet.
No excuses for defense. Only said they played well 2nd half.
