It wont, SDSU doesn't bring that brand name, even if they do bring a number next to their name. If NIU were to go 2-0, maybe just maybe
15,000

10,000.
I'm not going after this performance. Same old sh** different day. Bad penalties , out coached, same offense

Which is a firm possibility right now

I'll be happy if we hit 15k

Pathetic. No one in DeKalb cares about football. The students don't care cause we are losing to Wyoming and can't win any big games outside of conference. We lose this game and then to Florida I say 12,000. That's generous.

Maybe they're all waiting for the Master Plan enhancements to be completed.

That's never going to happen

At least not while the state budget excuse is readily available. Nice and convenient despite other Universities in the state announcing and proceeding with facility improvements.
So we're likely to be 0-2 going into that game, I'm just hoping we get 15,000.
I'll bring 15.
You'll have plenty of room to spread out.
Our game against Cal is at 7:30 PST on TV. This weeks game could very well determine (of course you guys too) just how well or bad our season will finish. We should beat CAL yet they do have an explosive Offense.

History with CAL dictates Home team wins....We see.

About football? No. NIU football? Maybe.

Let's blame a town of 45k for attendance woes. Let's blame Sycamore and their 20k too.

People have lives. And for most, it isn't NIU football. And I don't know what people expect out of the students. 3-4k a game, perhaps more when warm and on a weekend. When it is a Tuesday and 30 degrees out, snowing or raining I can't blame them for not showing up.

I am not saying their isn't attendance problem. Not saying you can't get more locals and students. But any possible increase in their #s is minimal due to total # as a whole. Possible fanbase needs to be expanded by 100's of thousands not focusing on a current 75k.
With the weekend officially over the time has come to bury the negative nonsense and refocus the energy toward the home opener. Looking forward to this game and plan to bring a nice crowd along. Time to support the team and more importantly the school. Huskie Stadium is always a tough out for any team visiting and the fans need to help keep it that way. Everyone cried about getting real teams to play in DeKalb and there is a good one coming in this weekend coming off a big win against a Pac 12 team.

Time to crank up the intensity and fill the stadium. Spread the word, tell your friends. Make the home opener a success. Fan support matters more than ever and any hostility anyone holds toward the program can be overcome by supporting this program in mass as opposed to turning your back. Time to bring Huskie Stadium back alive for another season!!
