Comeon....people. There's gotta be something shiny in the cloud lining. lol.

I'm not trying to be an ass, btw. It's really how I look at it.

We've been pretty good at football recently. It would be nice to continue that trend. I hope the quality of our conference doesn't go way down though.

Enter Middle Tennessee State...

and maybe Arkansas State and Southern Miss. It's gonna be awesome.
It's funny how all we've heard for years is that expansion is all about football and TV sets. Who can make the slices of pie bigger and all that crap. And we're out because of academics. What a joke that is.
It's a joke because its funny and not really true.

Exactly, why would you even sign something like that.. Fans want and need to know.. In fact they could lose some big people over this.. This is just all stupidity at it's finest..

What?!? Really? Does your profession require you to enter into non-disclosure contract agreements? If so, you would never type this.

Yea, that's why all the other schools are talking.

Again, we don't know that the other schools have this NDA. This NDA may be of OUR doing, not the Big XII's. It is very feasible that we have some stricter NDA's in place to protect the privacy of FedEx's negotiations.

They could have just put something in writing stating that FedX's involvement was to not be discussed publicly.. Besides FedX wasn't to worried about it, there involvement was printed in the CA.. They could have easily put together something to sign stating that no FedX figures were to be made public..

Success of last year helped us get what most observers agree is a great coach, best recruiter we've had in a while. Continued success will only help.

I will say that being out of the process so soon doesn't make any sense at all.

We saw the copy of the NDA that fulfilled an open records request.

Absolutely. If he succeeds, both parties will win. Root for his success, it inherently helps us.

We will not be able to keep any Coach worth a durn for very long unless we get into a P5.. Eventually your gonna get another bad Coach and there it goes and we will be starting all over again..

Until we make a bad hire that sets us back 7-8 years or more. See Southern Miss. Arkansas State had a nice run with coaches for awhile but none stayed and now they are just a nice little Sunbelt team again.

A great coach will never stay here.

Admin didn't play the game right-other schools have long sent marginal students to JUCOs, etc and if they panned out were admitted later (to keep their academic numbers up).

We accepted marginal students and gave them an opportunity which is what this country is supposed to be about.

Someone broke the agreement. My suspicion is it wasn't Memphis. Will not change Memphis' status but is part of the political maneuvering of either the BIG XII or ESPN. I am of the mind that Memphis has passed the tests from their being trustworthy conference partners. Does it help Memphis current predicament? Probably not if all reports are true.

But not college sports/NCAA.

I personally dont care. I'm tired of civic fear of failure as a reason for decisionmaking, defeatist commentary, or inaction. It's improved over the past 10 yrs, but still is cancerous.

The Big 12 decision wont determine our destiny. The resilience of the region and its members individually and collectively will.

If we fail, learn quickly and get back in the ring.
