High of 76 on Saturday, and mostly sunny. Should be perfect for tailgating and the game.

Not so fast....that tropical system in the Gulf has come way west over the last 12 hours.

Could be a wet one.

Might be for Harrisonburg. We'll see...just putting it out there that the Gulf storm that was supposed to cross the Panhandle and go out to sea is now forecast to go b/t Richmond and Norfolk

Why would weather 2 hours away matter, especially if it's different? I guess a few fans may not want to get wet leaving richmond so just stay home. They would've stayed home anyways and were just looking for an excuse.

I believe he's saying that since it's already moved more west than they originally anticipated that it could continue to do so and hit h'burg

Seriously? I'm just updating people on what the latest info is.

From your link

".LONG TERM /SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
12z model guidance has exhibited a significant westward shift
with the future track of what is now Tropical Storm Hermine. This
shift suggests an increasing threat for heavy rain over the CWA.
This would most likely occur Saturday-Sunday. After that point the
system may meander off the coast for several days...continuing to
influence the weather in our area. The exact track and details of
impacts are still very uncertain. Please refer to the National
Hurricane Center for official information and guidance."

I apologize and will refrain from posting positive weather forecasts again. Crazy the difference in just the last 4-5 hours.
You were right JMU2004. I just looked at the current forecast which was far more promising.
I also thought this tropical depression was Far East out in the Atlantic and was supposed to leave the mid-Atlantic by Wednesday. Is this a completely different storm?
The only positive is that Harrisonburg is right on the edge of that model's track. Hopefully it'll keep pushing more east and back out to sea.
And back out east it goes. All clear (until the next forecast).

yep...looking much better now.

Yes, this was #9 and the one you are thinking of is #8 that ended up staying farther east. And now #9 is a Hurricane...
