just wanted to start this for the '16 season...

saw some possibly HUGE news...
The Vikings just called off practice after 25 minutes, when Teddy Bridgewater went down on a non-contact play. Trainers immediately rushed to Bridgewater's side, while players dropped to one knee in prayer.

no word on what the injury is. Would hate if it was an ACL injury.
from Vikings reporter:
It was a simple drill and suddenly Teddy Bridgewater had gone down in a heap and was holding his left knee and players yelled in agony

Man that's really unfair. Luckily we play them in Week 4
GO PANTHERS!

Lets take the NFC South for a 4th consecutive year!

just saw update:
Vikings athletic trainer Eric Sugarman announced Teddy Bridgewater has a dislocated knee and a complete tear of his ACL.

obviously out for the season....

Shaun Hill takes over as the starter.
Sucks for the Vikings and Bridgewater. I was looking to see how he'd perform with some more control in the offense and with more weapons. This potentially puts a bind on the Vikings too who would have wanted to see him play this year before having to make a decision about whether to pick up his 5th year option next offseason.

Sucks that in one moment during practice their whole season ended.
All I am saying is the Rams back in the day had Trent Green and then this guy Kurt Warner came in after he went down...
Ok, how does this happen??

Was there a hole in the field that didn't get patched up that he stepped in??

If so, you fire everyone on the damn grounds crew and make sure they never work in football again.
I mean, what can you do?

Bring in Sanchez and let him try to win it from Hill.

Peterson will get a ton of carries. Lot of short routes to Diggs, Treadwell, etc.
Minnesota should bring in Tavaris Jackson, I'm pretty sure he's still out there. Season prediction though Pittsburgh wins the AFC and Seattle wins the NFC. Seattle over Pittsburgh in superbowl LI.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Romo yet. Does anyone really believe that Dak can carry the Cowboys for 6 weeks?

The Cowboys can burn in hell for all I care :D

There is another thread about that. But I think Dak can be serviceable while Romo is out. He's got running ability that Romo hasn't had for a while that can provide the Cowboys with an element the opponents are used to. But in my opinion, Romo won't miss many games but we'll see.

That took an unusual turn. I'd be really upset if I were a Vikings fan. Trading a 1st round pick (and a conditional 4th) for Sam Bradford when the Eagles had no long term plans for him. Heck, they paid less than that to get him in the first place and they wanted him to be their franchise guy.

Unbelievable, they WAAAAYY over paid for Bradford. I would bet my savings account that fragile A** Sam plays less than 10 games. And even if by some miracle he is able to make it through the entire season without injury, he's not going to be your starter next year when Teddy is back. So why give up so much?? 01-wingedeagle

Mark Sanchez is not good. I still think I’d rather have Mark Sanchez for free than Sam Bradford for first- and fourth-round picks.

with how bad the injury was for Bridgewater, I wonder if this indicates the injury may be even worse than we've heard. Like he may not be guaranteed back next year as well.....

of course, it's pretty ironic that Bradford comes in to fill in for a guy who got a knee injury.
