The Big 12 Presidents have apparently heard all the presentations at this point. The question now is when do they make a decision?

Chuck Carlton thinks expanding by 2 is the most likely scenario

The above article also talks about who has been getting the most attention. That would be usual suspects: BYU, Cincinnati, and Houston...
If I were the Big 12 I'd go Cincy and BYU.

Houston probably won't receive the votes. There are too many problems with having a 5th Texas Team in the conference.

I agree with not enough votes for Houston. If we add Houston that gives Texahoma voting block the majority in decisions. I also think 12 is the magic number and depending if we go after Pac school once the GOR is up I think Cincy and BYU/CSU should be the additions.
BYU and CSU. Why make the WVU island problem worse by inviting Cincy?
I would add BYU, Colorado state, New Mexico, and UNLV.
Swaim going on record saying it will be BYU and Cincinnati. That everything is decided except divisional alignments and logistics such as that.

We'll see soon enough if he's right.
IMO here is the priority they should have:

1. Add nobody and wait until the end of the GOR.

2. If your desire is to build a new conference home for little brothers then do it right. Add B.Y.U., Colorado State, Cincinnati, Tulane, Houston, and one of the Nevada's.

At least that way when Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas all leave you can add U.S.F., U.C.F., and Memphis and have a better version of the AAC.

I'd switch UNLV with Cincy and then I would be very happy.

I wouldn't. It's a trap. The Big 12 needs a footprint. Going west is the only real way to accomplish that.
If I'm the Big 12, I start thinking about basketball.

The Big East brings down more money than the AAC despite not even fielding a football league. Good football is worth far more obviously, but they're not going to find any great football programs lying around. They need to add quality content where they can find it and hope for the best.
Shake down the networks and compromise. Increase pay to not expand. ESPN would be more than willing because they get hit in two directions........ Having to pay more to big 12 and diluting their profitable AAC inventory at the same time.
