Not to worry. I think there will be enough QB beatings to go around.
The Golden Flashes who are simply seeking improvement from game to game rather than solely focusing on pulling off an upset of a Power 5 team, Haynes said.

"That's not a goal of ours. Our goal is to win the MAC," he said. "So you go into these games and you just want to make sure you're getting better in all three phases."

That kind of talk from the Head Coach smells an awful like the Doug Martin era.

I'm glad you brought this clip up. Reading it absolutely disgusted me. I wish he would have made these comments prior to me planning this trip out. Unless this was used to psych out PSU. Doubt it. Still, I wouldn't have spent the $391 expecting a "possible" upset of PSU.

IMO, beating a Power 5 team now and then tends to put you on the map...
And BTW, every time a football team takes the field, the goal should be to win.

I mean it comes down to this.... If the coaches don't believe they can win a game, that probably won't get passed down to the players. And I agree, I may go to one game this year if our coach is going to speak like that.

Hopefully, it's our goal to win our 2 FCS games this year 02-13-banana
Beatings all around. PSU -22 seems like a safe bet.

Why else would we schedule them?

Actually, I'd be happy if we got out of dead last in the FBS in scoring. We scored 13.1 points per game last year. If we could double that this year, we could climb up to 86th out of 128 teams. I would view 4 wins as better than expected.

Haynes has pretty much already proven to me he's in over his head, but this comment really solidifies it. Do you think BG said the same thing walking into the Horseshoe today? That attitude is a total head scratcher to me.

Then again ... Do you think BG expected what happened to them today ... or do you think PH maybe locked his team in to face the obvious ... but prep for something better ...
