NBC and Matt Laurer really took it to Ryan Lotche sp tonight.

Granted, he totally deserves it, but I find it ironic that we have a confirmed liar (multiple lies) running for president and I don't see a tenth of that journalistic inquiry.
If they succeed in crushing her, we get combover crazy boy. Boy....what a choice. I think we should thank our forefathers, the checks and balances are going to be put to their toughest test this time around.

On what planet do you live on? The media has been giving Trump a colonoscopy for the last 18 months.

Two confirmed liars running for president.
Most of the American public would be happier with either VP candidate
Well, we have had only one president who was called "Honest."

Could you list Trump's and Clinton's lies, I'd like to compare them

Don't have the time for a major research project on either or both confirmed liars, do it yourself.

I'm quite up to speed on it. But if you're claiming them both to be liars I would think one or two clear lies would come to mind. Just asking.
I have a question.

Between 1924-1960 we basically suspended immigration to give time for immigrants to assimilate.

Could someone explain our "desperate need" to let in 3rd world, unskilled, uneducated, non English speaking immigrants?

I agree. Why don't we ask the business owners who continue to support such policies?
So, American workers are incapable of making hotel beds, cutting meat, waiting tables at resorts, writing code, doing construction, and the only solution is to let non English speaking, unskilled workers in?

I have no problem with short term work visas for jobs we can't fill, as long as the person can demonstrate a marketable skill.
Charm has a point. To put teeth into stopping ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION including H1B fraud, we need to penalize companies, the people, the officers of the corporations and the shareholders of said corporations that employ and exploit the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
. .
They're not migrating for fun, it's the work. Go to the root cause. Don't hand out some campaign rhetoric about a wall. That's just an attempt to "show he cares" while his businesses practice the same employment practices.
Establishment Republicans and Dems want the cheap labor

The Dems want the 3rd world unskilled as a permanent underclass and a future voting block.

They're both terrible reasons.

I get that Anericans won't pick fruit on the cheap. But I'm pretty sure they'll tile, lay carpet, do drywall, clean hotels, wait tables, garden, nanny, paint, do construction, etc. We have 58% youth unemployment in the black community. Im perplexed as to why unskilled, undereducated, 3rd world immigrantion is a priority when we have so many young unemployed Americans who could do these jobs.

As for HB1, Silicon Valley donates tons to the Washinton establishment (both parties) to bring in or export coding. Both parties are in the tank. It's a Washington donor class thing.

We brought in 10k Syrian refugees last year. Clinton wants to bring in 50k if elected?

Are we in desperate need of Syrians to help build our economy? Do Syrian refugees bring a skill set that we desperately need?

Agreed. It's pathetic. And very obvious.

Question: I've heard the metric about the black youth unemployment rate. Are they considered "labor force non participants" or whatever they're spinning these days?
My take is if your out of the labor force, but physically able to work you're still unemployed. BLS has two columns of unemployment. One counts those actively looking and one doesn't. One makes it look like full employment (5%) and one scares the chit out of politicians (12%).

My take, if you factor in the under employed, generational welfare, disability, and those unemployed and looking, it's probably near 25%, and probably has been for
15-20 years, but as you say we spin the numbers. Work force participation rate is at an all time low, yet we need more unskilled labor in the country. Doesn't add up for me.

We've been bombing the shlt out of Syria for years now, it's the least we can do.

They're in a civil war, they've been bombing the **** out of themselves. We owe them nothing. But as a humanitarian gesture we and others IN THAT REGION should provide food, shelter, and medical sevices.

If and when the region stabilizes (not holding my breath) they should return to their native country.
Get real. We've been elbow-deep in Syria since this debacle started in 2011. Your characterization as this simply being a civil war where "they" are bombing the shlt out of themselves is absurd.

Apparently you missed Obama's line in the sand.
