This time a bunch of Australians who probably altered their credentials to get into the Aussie semifinal basketball game against Serbia (in which they got crushed by the way). Yes, it's more silliness on behalf of some athletes, but please I've been watching a ton of the Olympics the last two weeks and I have yet to see one venue (outside of beach volleyball perhaps) that is even close to being full. At this point of the Olympics, the organizers should have been allowing athletes to get into half-empty venues. Better that than having them get into trouble elsewhere in the city.

Probably more shakedowns are in order. The IOC is going to be facing criticism for years and years that these Games are probably the most ill guided Olympics (at least on the summer side) since 1976 in Montreal? I guess Sochi could have gotten this bad but (a) the athletes were probably scared to death to venture outside of the Olympic village, and (b) there was probably nothing to do there anyway.

people should count their blessings. the alternative was chicago. any sane person would rather swim in feces than eat a bullet.

I'm sure they would have put anything Olympic related in Chicago on the Northside except for maybe using Comiskey Park.

A number of Australians have been robbed. They told their athletes to stay away from the beaches between 6pm and 6am.
