Heard that on the news tonight. Not exactly sure what it means, but it doesn't sound like a celebration is being planned.
This is a significant concern to the College of Pharmacy as well. All the classrooms, faculty, administration, labs, etc... for the professional division are in the new Wolfe Hall on the Medical College Campus.

I hope they can work it out, but if the place is having financial trouble it can go deep quick in health care these days. You gotta make the right decision.
As I see it, the Health Science Campus will remain as the academic hub for education and research. Pharmacy, nursing, microbiology education etc. won't be leaving anytime soon.

The UTMC Hospital on the other hand could "hit the reset button" They might give up an expensive Level I Trama Center and therefore not need general medicine post-care. The focus would be on specialty medicine.

This specialty centric focus could result in a ProMedica acquisition of the UTMC hospital (pending FTC antitrust laws) with something like the Jobst Institute and/or ProMedica Innovations working side-by-side with UT faculty/student researchers.

I don't see the name changing that much; something like ProMedica University Hospital or similar.

The ugly truth is currently the hospital itself is not cutting it and will become less relevant with residents now on North Cove Blvd working at The Toledo Hospital.

Just my speculation.
Presuming you can actually get to Toledo Hospital though all the road construction. As is now, I think if you get sick on Upton, they have to send the helicopter rescue squad to get you across Monroe St.
