COMMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MEMPHIS !
Very grateful for the opportunity
Can't wait to be a TIGER !
GOD IS GOOD !!
Cool, welcome to the team!
@TheCAJasonSmith
Question with Rykhoek - can he stay healthy? Never played at Baylor. I don't think Tigers are done adding bodies.
Yep, hopefully he is/stays healthy. He's got some great size. A True Center.

Also.

The Tigers also appear to be interested in adding former Mississippi State big man Johnny Zuppardo, a 6-9, 235-pound graduate transfer who told The CA this week that Memphis is his top option.
Zuppardo:

2014-15 • Junior
- Missed the entire season after tearing both the meniscus and ACL in his left knee.

Senior Year- Played in 31 games. 1 start. Averaged 3.2 points and 2.2 rebounds.
4 hip surgeries? Can he even walk?

Keep him healthy, we need the size!

Wonderful. Now 2 more!!
To be excited over a player who in 4 years has not hardly played at the collegiate level -- hope this is not a sign of what is to come for the state of Memphis Basketball. Coach Smith has not coached a game, so I will give him 100 percent support until he proves otherwise.

I think he based his pick on who had the best medical staff.

He signed with us to be closer to Campbell's Clinic.

Not to be a wet blanket, we need the height and the fouls, but....

Grant McCasland, former assistant coach at Baylor, just got the job as Head Coach at Arkansas State. Why wouldn't he have taken this guy with him? Apparently he didn't even consider it, did he know better?
If the Tigers can get 10 minutes of decent play out of him, I'll call it a win. Set screens, no fouls with less than 10 secs on the shot clock, don't allow and-1's, box out, pass from the post. Average 2 and 3. That's all you can really ask.
