Well at least we're on the list. That's the first step.
Yep. It's actually a really good advantage to start out with even just one vote. If we can get to 3-0 and some of the higher ranked teams start losing then our votes should steadily increase.
Man, that is a high ranking for Flagship. The have Oklahoma St. and Cincinnati early so we will see where they stand.
I bet Fuente gave us that vote.

Houston returns a lot on offense. Lost some on defense but damn that offense is good.

VERY likely. Good call.

That wouldn't surprise me at all.

Hilarious of true

I'm thinking it was Freeze doe
Too bad Spurrier isn't still around to give Duke its one vote a year.

Yea it is, I think that ranking is fine for them.
Anyone else surprised at how much love Navy is getting? I also thought USF would get some more votes.
Navy is incredibly overrated. They almost lost their HC for no good reason and they lost virtually every skill position starter from 2015.

South Florida will win the East this season though.

I'm just happy to get votes. It took us a few weeks to even receive votes last year despite ending 2014 as a ranked team.

Ole Miss surprises me. Losing Nkimdeche's, Tunsil, and Treadwell are pretty big losses. I know Kelly is back at qb, but OM wasn't nearly the team w/o Robert and Tunsil on the field.

Ohio State lost so much. I guess they think Urban is a miracle worker. Should be 15-20.

LSU is another. In the last 8 seasons they have outperformed their preseason ranking only twice. In 6 of the last 8 seasons they have finished 14th or worse (twice unranked).

I think Louisville is criminally under rated. They bring back 10 starters on offense and 9 on defense from a 8-5 team that lost their first 3 when breaking in a frosh qb. It will be interesting because they get FSU in game 3 and Clemson in game 5.
Ole Miss will go 7-5 at best.
I hope Hugh Freeze chokes on his own snot.

Navy returns ONE starter on offense and only 6 on defense.

I understand they are a plug and play type team, but losing that much on offense is generally devastating to any program.

Actually you're right. Coaches Poll took one week. Three weeks for AP, which is what I was thinking about.

Ole Miss is probably getting some love because of their recruiting class (Top 10) and getting the #1 QB in the country and another top 5 player. They also beat Alabama, but I agree for the most part they did lose a lot and will probably lose some of their early games and fall a bit off of the radar.

Ohio State and LSU are always ranked pretty high from the start. They always have talent and their coaches probably give them some extra confidence for the voters, but these pre-season polls are always kind of dumb and for entertainment only. I think once we get about 2-3 weeks in the picture will be more clear.

Did not know that about UL, they should do pretty well in the ACC then. Clemson and Florida State are going to be REALLY GOOD this year though. Going to be interested to see how they end up finishing.
