Seriously guys? We complain all the time about not getting any coverage and 3 people have commented on the Bailiff article? Two of them look like they might be the same person with two usernames.

I hope AT LEAST you're clicking on the link, but you should comment as well

Otherwise, why should THEY comment on us?
Ham, to me the first one reads like it was a press release from Bailiff's agent that was more or less copied by the chron.

I mean he's a "stickler for details?" How does that translate into, for just one example, so many early time-outs? That article just does not appear to reconcile with the product, lack of preparation and coaching we've seen on the field many of these past 9 seasons that have been mentioned ad nauseum by most posters.

Now, if it said 'Last year we stunk-- lucky to win the 5 games we did. I'm embarrassed with that performance considering CUSA is not the old SWC. I resolve to kick some butt and get us back in the CUSA Champ game this season, and it starts with beating WKU, a team which has only been in CUSA for a few years, and was FCS not too long ago, on the road in game 1,' then I'd boost it. He doesn't have to say he'll beat Baylor or Stanford. But that article reminded me of another speech we heard this very week covering over past and present issues, pretending they don't exist, making unrealistic assessments and encouraging people to stay the same course for the better part of a decade that led to the very mediocrity we're experiencing now.

I'd hope for a change from that kind of rhetoric at least. Something to light a fire under the fans so we could feel the burn.
I'm glad the Chronicle is outsourcing their reporting of the Owls to the San Antonio Express-News. What a crock of a newspaper
That's all fine and well guys, but this is about getting Rice more mentions in the press. I honestly don't care WHAT they print, as long as they're printing about US.

We need eyes... we need mentions. Those come from clicks and posts these days.

Poor and trite as it may be, they're only giving us what we are asking for. Right now, we're LITERALLY asking for articles that nobody will read. If you don't like those aspects of the report, then SAY so... not here, but THERE.
Don't you need a subscription to view the article and comment? I could only read one of the articles.

Just copy the title of the article and google search it, then click on the Chron link that comes up in the results...will get you past the paywall.

And no, you can sign up for a username without subscribing.
