He almost signed with Troy, but chose Memphis at the last minute. Looks like Troy or USA could be getting a special athlete if he continues to play football at the FBS level.

Wouldn't he have to drop to FCS in order to be able to play immediately?

Yes. If he plays at Troy or USA (or GS for that matter) he would have to sit out a year.
If his kid lives in Ozark then I'd say Troy is pretty much a no brainer

UAB and Georgia Tech are in the mix. He was also unhappy with the coaching change at Memphis, so it's not all about proximity to his child.
I think the odds are in our favor. We were in his top 2 last year. And closest to home. But things change.
Apparently Memphis fans thought very very highly of him. I'm still excited. He was my #1 recruit in 2015 and went to Memphis at the last minute. Glad he is a Trojan!
