There are many teams I hope make it into a "power" conference and ECU is one of them. If you can put 50K+ into a stadium (shame BYU isn't P5 already)

Seriously though, best of luck in ECU's efforts. It's always been fun to be associated to a conference with level headed Pirate fans. I don't say that about every program. Some are annoying as heck in their childish "Look at me. Look at me" thread after threads.

Ecu deserves consideration. Probably a longshot, but I commend your AD for trying. I wish we had half the leadership ECU has.

Just heard that. His description of our pitch to the Big 12 was pretty impressive.

All their criteria is met by East Carolina. They just can't get past the fact we're in Greenville,NC. No matter how it's explained that our demographic is actually Charlotte, Raleigh, Greenville, Rocky Mount and the Tidewater. You can explain it to them, but you can't understand it for them.

Yes. Definitely more going on behind the scenes than I had anticipated. Cited our relationship with the West Virginia administration.

I like ECU, If Houston is chosen here hope we continue to schedule them, great program and always a challenge on the football field.

If not I'd be just as happy to remain in a league with ECU.

What does that mean?

Where we invited to a meeting to discuss ECU?

Did we write a strongly worded letter?

Did we put together a rap video and email it to them?

ECU will make it over the fence and across the tracks eventually. I believe they deserve it. In fact, I feel that way about most of the schools in this conference. This huge P5-G5 divide is horrible, IMO, even if Memphis makes it in.

I have been positioning myself for Heidi Klum for at least a decade.

I'm not sure why people are ridiculing our lobbying for this when their schools are doing the same. It's not like ECU doesn't have some merit.

ah yeah the airport nonsense excuse. because there's such a large international airport in Morgantown, WV and Lubbock, TX and Ames, IA and Storrs, CT and Manhattan, KS? I'm sure you already know that football teams are going to charter anyway. the travel costs are what they are at this point with all of these wide spread conferences.
