Sports uniforms and their color schemes are just as prone to trends in colors as any other clothing fashions. This is particularly true when one is trying to attract the attentions of young athletes who are anxious to be seen as "with it". The University of Oregon happens to be the leader in the present due to their ties to NIKE, but the trend has spread beyond that one program.
