Newby's will be the new Host Location for the Coach Tubby Smith Radio Show every Monday Night starting the first week of December. #GOTIGERSGO

One of my favorite college hangouts after the VI and Rocky's. I recall them having a very tasty chicken sandwich back in the day.

Very different in many ways, but similar in other ways. I'm just glad there is still a Newby's on the Highland Strip.

The food out of the new kitchen is pretty darn good. The smothered tots and chicken sandwich are as good as usual and the new pizzas are better than I expected. Had the burger for the first time this past weekend and it was really good too.

It's a short drive from his house so he can start the show right after he finishes dinner, so it will start at 5pm.

On a side note, those beer glasses are a trip. I'm also amazed they don't try to collect those magnets after they are used.

I was there on a friday night (they switched to plastic cups) and the bartenders were just tossing the cups w/ the magnets in them into the garbage.

But that scene there at night blows.

I'll go see the Panic every once in a while if they are in the neighborhood. I went to Mud Island a few weeks ago. I ain't flying to Red Rocks or nothing like that.

My youngest brother is on his way to Milwaukee right now to watch the Cardinals and see the Dead this weekend.

I am on the Strip quite a bit, lol.

Just not at Newby's.
