Experience is extremely valuable in athletics. Talent being equal, experience wins out. We will go into this season with an extremely experienced point guard, Monique Towson, who averaged 32.9 mpg.
I look for her to have a breakout season. I believe she'll score a lot more this season.

Sharde Collins averaged 32.1 mpg, and is our leading returning scorer.
Capable of even more this season. She's not Taylor Gault, but she has similar abilities. Should be a double digit scorer this season.

Kira Shepard is probably our current Shanika Butler. She averaged 14.9 mpg as a Freshman, and is a tough, strong young woman who should really make a great improvement this season and will probably be our defensive stopper.

And inside, we have two Seniors with a lot of experience. Kaitlin Pratt is probably the closest thing we have to Shanity James. She averaged 29.4 mpg and is an extremely strong rebounder. Will score more this season.

And Keanna Keys is another strong, experienced inside player averaging 15.5 mpg last season. She might be a more polished scorer than Kaitlin, but both should have really fine seasons.

All in all, a strong returning lineup. Other returnees who should play a larger role. Ronjana DeGray will receive a lot of minutes as a tough young inside player. She showed a lot of skill as a Freshman, and could really push for playing time. And if a Freshman emerges who can shoot the three point shot, they will have a chance to play. I know Alex Murray from Bearden has been mentioned by our coaches as a really good long range shooter, so if she can learn the system quickly, and play defense, she'll have a shot.

And Amber Landing, at 6'3" tall, should certainly begin to earn playing time. If she's stronger, it will certainly help to have an inside shot blocker with her height. All in all, with these young women, and others I don't know much about, and our great schedule, it should be another exciting season for our Trojan women!04-cheers

Amber will not be coming back...

Former MRA standout Amber Landing transfers to Southern Miss
Wow. Hate to hear that. Thought she could really help us the next few years.
