Impressive for sure.
that's mostly about # of commits. for example, we got 16 and Texas only has 7. when the numbers even out we'll probably be in the late 40s to 60 range, depending on how the season goes. it's important to keep the momentum going by winning.

Yeah, Texas is getting a lot of silent verbals now.

It's a long way to signing day

Very true. I'm sure we'll see some of these guys re-open their recruitment.

But, this is still impressive. We previously had a strong majority of 2 star commits. We're getting mostly 3 stars now. The staff doesn't seem to be slowing down at all, either.
And you think as We Continue to Dominante the AAC and Win even more that we will slow down...We WILL flip one or two Bigger Names Come Signing day TrUeTh......No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis....

:pbjtime:must be the caffine .
Looks like Fuente is doing well enough in Blacksburg. VT fans will come around on him when they see the results on the field. They'll learn that he recruits for a system and doesn't necessarily need Ohio State/Bama type players to win.
i thought we had a 4* commit

A Rivals 4*, the link is a 247 ranking.
This is fantastic early recruiting for us. There is nothing else you can say, even if you are prone to look for the downside. Truth is, we will probably lose some. We lose some every year. Difference is, we are usually sitting with a bunch of NR's at this point - with only a few 3-stars sprinkled in. I expect the ones that we lose this year can be replaced with solid 3-stars.

Remember, all recruiting services give bonus pts for QUANTITY, not just quality, hence why UCF and Memphis are currently ranked in the Top 40....because those 2 teams have so many early commits...even though almost none are highly rated players.

Teams though like Texas are involved in a lot more 4-5 star recruiting battles...as in Rivals 5 star prospects alone, 17 out of the 26 Five Star recruits currently haven't committed to a school as of yet...let alone dozens and dozens of uncommitted 4 star recruits.

Those big programs recruiting rankings will skyrocket once those 4-5 star players finally commit to their programs come winter and/or even on signing day.

He quit on us after the OLD PISS game---so who cares----JMO---just like X did before the Missouri game. BOTH QUIT MID SEASON with a chance to win the national championship.

You are welcome...as all I did was respond to the initial post on a subject that I was interested in...and decided to post my opinion plus an additional informative link.

Sorry I didn't go thru each and every response prior to posting...but thank you for bringing the above to my attention but I'm still not sure why you bothered.

knight light, you are a good guest poster on this board. By 'guest', I mean a fan of another team. Your comments are usually fair and polite. Do not let a few of our posters discourage you. IMO, you should always be welcome on this board.
As of right now we would be 5th in the Big 12.

Baylor may not have enough players to field a team.
