Elvis related: They are about to release "new" recordings from the Jungle Room. Back in 1975 Red West started taking me to Graceland to play racquetball. What is now the trophy room out back is actually one of the best racquetball courts in the city. Anywho, we would go in to the mansion every once in a while. One night I noticed the Jungle Room's walls and ceiling were covered with green shag carpet to match what was on the floor. Much later I found out the carpet was to convert the room to a studio. I haven't bought music in years--but I'm buying this one.

Another tough blow. Scotty was one of the first great rock n roll guitarist, if not the first.

What is now the trophy room was never a racquetball court, it was storage and then a space where Elvis and the guys raced slot cars.

The racquetball court has always been in a separate building built in the mid 70s. I remember you telling me that story about Red.

A little bit of trivia: In his last recording of Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, it is Elvis playing the electric bass

Scotty's licks sold many a guitar.

I may have the terminology wrong. Speaking of wrong, the pinball machine was facing away from the court last time I was there. It faced the court back in the day. And it didn't require quarters!
